It was a rainy, dreary day as my cousin Eric and I were texting and calling back and forth about whether or not to have their engaged session up in Mequon, WI. The forecast had lowered the chance of rain from 75% to a mere 30% for the time we would be shooting, so we both decided we would roll the dice with the rain and I'm so glad we did. Right in Eric's parents the backyard was this amazingly colorful fall tree that had dusted the ground with it's fall magic. It was begging for these two lovebirds to be photographed in all it's glory. We took the opportunity to get a real family photo with them and their dog Nike. She was such an obedient and friendly pup (we later became BFFs playing bumper pool in the basement). We headed to the Mequon Forest Preserve and continued to dodge the rain. Although the skies didn't have a thread of blue in them the colors of autumn were all around making up for the lack of blue skies. It warmed my heart to see Eric with Nicole together and watch them interact. They have such a fun-loving spirit with each other...Eric had me and my husband laughing all night. I couldn't be more thrilled than to be a part of their wedding day next Spring. They are such an adorable and fun couple. A big congratulations on the engagement Eric and Nicole, the best is yet to come :)
