As I headed to Midway Village in Rockford, I couldn't help but think: "How did Callie & Aaron get such perfect weather?" Then I realized it is because they are two incredible people and the weather was just a wedding gift from above.
Their ceremony was filled with meaningful expressions. The "Man of Honor" played the keyboard and sang a beautiful song in tribute to the couple. They presented their parents with tea during the ceremony as a symbol of the families uniting. It was pure, touching and beautiful.
I loved everything about Callie's simple choices for the wedding from the flowers to the bridesmaids choosing their own dresses that reflected their individual styles. Oh yeah, and suspenders...you can't go wrong with suspenders (at least not on these guys).
Midway Village offers up so many awesome places for pictures. We tried our best to cram as many of those hot-spots in as possible. Sometimes you just can't beat a plan red brick wall :)
I was flattered when Callie asked me to photograph their wedding. I enjoyed every second of their Minneapolis engaged on bikes session in May. Their wedding this past weekend completed the circle by putting tears in my eyes behind the lens. I know they have many happy amazing years to come. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Hefstad, much love.
