I've known these two for about 7 years. Brent is good friends with my husband and I was so thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. These are two of the kindest people I have the privilege to know. With their wedding just over a month away, and after all the terribly cold and rainy weather we were having, we finally were able to get these two lovebirds out to Rock Cut State Park for their engaged session. We took the opportunity to capture some moments with Pam's daughter, who has grown into such a lovely young lady. I was in love with all the nature and had such a great time catching up with them as we weaved our way through the forests and limestone valleys of the park. Hope you enjoy all the love below, I sure did!
Congratulations Pam & Brent, your wedding is just 29 short days away - can't wait to capture it and celebrate the two of you! I'm so very honored to be a part of this joyous occasion and I'm thankful to be able to call you my friends.

I love love love when couples choose a place that is near and dear to them for their engaged session. Caitlin and Kyle first met in elementary school and even though their love didn't spark in the classroom, they reconnected later in life and are now getting married. This session was made even more special by the fact that the school district may choose to close down this elementary school. I feel so fortunate to have captured parts of their childhood and their new life together. I hope you enjoy this session as much as I did!
As a last minute idea we headed to The Olympic Tavern where they spent time early in their relationship. Even though it was closed we were able to get some outside to capture some more special images. I'm very excited for this couple's wedding this October. Thanks for making your engaged session so much fun, I know the wedding will be a blast!
As the snow kept piling up and this engaged session was approaching I was half expecting that the couple would opt to reschedule. That was not the case, and I'm so glad that they didn't. While walking through knee deep snow, getting some of the best cardio I've gotten during a session, we were able to capture the warm fuzzies between these two. They were up for anything and were just excited to be commemorating such an exciting times in their lives. Enjoy this look at my snowiest session to date!
A big congratulations to these two winter lovebirds! I'm excited to be a part of your wedding this coming November. I'm sure there won't be two feet of snow on your wedding day…but if there is - at least we have gotten some practice in together :)

The word "lucky" comes to mind when looking back at this session. We literally got the last nice, fall day of the year for these two to capture their love! The next day it started to snow and all the brilliant colors of fall started to drift away to the pale browns and grays of pre-winter season. I had such a great time with Maggie & Matt exploring a new area on the South Shores of Chicago. We were out of the hustle and in such a pretty place to spend time commemorating this engagement session. Looking back at these images makes me long for fall again <3
Congratulations to Maggie and Matt who will celebrate their union this coming March! I'm honored and excited to be a part of your special day!

Sometimes things don't go according to plans when it comes to outdoor photography. We had a few reschedules due to cloudy, raining days but ended up with an absolutely gorgeous day for this engaged session. The crisp, clear blue sky was the perfect backdrop for plenty of nose-rubs and kisses. I love engaged sessions because I really start to get to know the couple better. I loved the giggles these two shared throughout their session and hope you do too!
Congratulations Amanda and Jason - I am so excited to capture your wedding this coming October! Thank you for sharing your love with SweetCheeks :)

I just adore sessions by Lake Michigan, everywhere we turn there is one photo op after another. These two were too cute for words and I really enjoyed spending time getting to know them better. Aaron was picking Mayra up left and right - swinging her around by the water. They were having so much fun for their session, which made my job very easy. As night fell on the city we ended the session with capturing some beautiful city lights shots that helped capture the essence of this couple. Their playful and sweet ways with each other is so beautiful and present in their pictures.
Congratulations, Mayra & Aaron - I'm so excited for the two of you and so grateful to have captured such a wonderful event in your lives! Thank you for sharing your love with SweetCheeks.
Seeing an old friend find the love of his life warms my heart, but being able to commemorate their engagement is amazing! Even though these two may have a little friendly rivalry with Nate being a cubs fan and Samantha cheering for the Cardinals - love prevails. The sun was out in full force as we galavanted through Williams Tree Farm into the woods and around the farm to capture this exciting time in their lives. The glow of the evening made me fall in love with so many of the images we were able to create - enjoy!
Congratulations to Samantha & Nate who will have their wedding in the Dominican Republic next May! Thank you for letting SweetCheeks share in your memories :)

This lovely couple made the trip to Lake Zurich for their engaged session. I got to experience some areas that I have been curious to venture out in and loved how they both were up for anything. Jenna even suggested they climb a tree at the end of the session - which made for some of my fave photos of the morning. You can just feel their love and passion for each other and I adore being around couples like this.
Congratulations to Jenna & Chad - can't wait for your wedding in just a few short weeks! :)
I adore traveling into Chicago with couples to capture their love amidst the amazing backdrops the Windy City offers up to us. When looking through the photos one may think we were at the ocean instead of Fullerton Beach just on the outskirts of a bustling city. Jen & Zach made this session so fun and were willing to dip their toes into the water to create some fun images as Lake Michigan swelled at their feet.
Congratulations to Jen & Zach who will tie the knot next year in July! I'm excited and honored to be the lucky photographer behind the lens for these two :)
In between relentless rain we somehow managed to get lucky amidst the Mid-West spring to have an evening for this engaged couple's session. These two were giggling and Charlie was tickling Carrie to get smiles out - it was such a joy to capture the love between these two :)
Congratulations to Carrie & Charlie who will be tying the knot this September. I can't wait to be at their wedding - I know that we will all have a blast!
